10 years ago, when I felt like the corporate world was not for me,
I started exploring how I could earn money on the Internet.
I was overwhelmed by the amount of shares from other people.
Everyone shared their success—from a few hundred dollars per
month to millions—and I was so impressed.
I followed one after another without any success.
It was like shiny object syndrome.
Then one day, I watched a short video from an old, wise, successful man.
He is a Chilean man who grew up in America and became a successful writer
in the movie industry in Hollywood. Unfortunately, he passed away in Ukraine
recently from a heart attack.
He shared his wisdom about the secret of his success.
It is simple: The secret to succeeding in life is showing up.
I found it to be true and applied it for a long time.
I have a list of prospects. Whenever I have something valuable and interesting,
I share it with the people on my list.
I am not sure if they open it and read it or not, but after 3–6 months of consistently
sending emails, they respond with a potential business opportunity.
It is very important that you like what you do so you are not discouraged
when no one responds to your messages for a long time.
The Universe (and people) will notice that you have been delivering free
value without caring whether you have gained something or not.
And when your value has accumulated enough, an opportunity will come.
So keep showing up and adding free value, even if it is small.
Something magical will happen.
