Yesterday, I helped a guy audit his hub and community.
After I signed up for his community, I was supposed to receive a welcome email
from his autoresponder a minute later, but I didn't.

It turned out that his email had landed in my spam folder.

The subject line of his email was: 'Haaaay! It's me again 😃.'

There were two red flags in this email: the word 'Haaay' and the smiley icon.
These are unnecessary attention-grabbers that are considered spammy.

That is the reason why Gmail sent that email to the spam folder.

This type of email and subject line is a common product of AI.
AI tends to use icons in its writing that are supposed to engage readers.

Those who lack experience tend to just copy and paste these emails into their email series.
When they see a low open rate, they have no idea why and start blaming other
parts of their business, like lead generation.

In the age of AI, we are overwhelmed by knowledge but lack experience.
Experience is hard-earned and only gained through making mistakes.

AI gives you a good starting point or knowledge,

but you have to turn that knowledge into experience.

Vick's email series will be released soon. You may ask AI to optimize it, but you need
to do it the right way, or you will end up blaming your mistakes on someone else.

Are you using Ai for drafting your email marketing emails ?
